This simple greeting instantly brought people closer together and filled this morning with a strong sense of humanity.
It wasn't long before I arrived at the nursery. The entire campus was remarkably quiet, with the children still in the living area. Normally, they wouldn't start to arrive until around 8:15. However, today was a bit unusual! A shipment of brand-new agricultural robots was about to arrive, a major event, so I'd arrived much earlier than usual.
As soon as I stepped into the garden, my pace quickened, conscious of the need to quickly complete all the preparations. I first walked into the classroom, quickly scanning each desk and chair to ensure they were neatly arranged. Then I quickly walked to the window, gently pushing it to confirm it was closed. Finally, I checked each of the colorful teaching tools, checking for any damage or missing parts. After completing these tasks, I breathed a sigh of relief, but I didn't stop my busy pace.
Next, I rushed to the outdoor play area. There were the children's favorite slides and swings, so I couldn't afford to be careless! I carefully examined every joint on the slide, even shaking it vigorously to make sure it was secure. As for the swings, I focused on the ropes and the safety of the seats. Although I was exhausted and out of breath after the entire inspection, I felt reassured to see that everything was in good condition. After all, my greatest wish is for the children to have fun and grow up healthily here!
Not long after I finished these complicated and meticulous tasks, a group of lively and lovely children began to walk into this kindergarten full of laughter.
From a distance, I saw the petite figure running towards me with brisk steps, like a lively little rabbit. In the blink of an eye, she rushed in front of me like a gust of wind, and then suddenly pounced on my legs, hugging them tightly and refusing to let go.
I looked down and saw that it was the little elf Maggie! At that moment, she was looking up at her rosy and tender little round face. Her big, watery eyes sparkled like two bright gems. Her little mouth was slightly raised, revealing a row of white and neat teeth. In her tender and sweet voice, she said to me in a baby voice, "Good morning, Teacher Sui Sui!"
Looking at her innocent, playful, and adorable face, I felt a gentle warmth well up deep within me, and an indescribable warmth welled up. Unable to restrain myself, I slowly reached out and gently stroked her silky, smooth hair. The corners of my mouth involuntarily curled up as I smiled and replied, "Good morning, Maggie!"
Several other children arrived one after another. When they saw me, they immediately gathered around me, chirping like a flock of happy birds. In this lively moment, I accidentally glanced at the door and saw Lotta walk in lightly.
She walked towards me with a smile on her face and told me, "After the agricultural robot was delivered yesterday, Shaoyu and Bot couldn't wait to move it to the plot of land we had planned long ago to try it out!" At this, Lotta's eyes lit up with joy. "I didn't expect to see results so quickly. Now we have successfully cultivated a small piece of fertile land!"
Listening to her vivid description, my curiosity was piqued. So, I gently took Maggie's soft little hand and slowly walked towards the farmland behind us. Seeing this, the other children also gathered around us, forming a small group.
As we reached the edge of the field, we were met with a burst of exclamations. I quickened my pace and went to investigate. It turned out to be Shaoyu and Bot, who were excitedly demonstrating the amazing operations of agricultural robots to the children who had arrived earlier.
I quickly led the children over. A closer look revealed the agricultural robot, like a well-trained soldier, nimbly and effortlessly bustling about in the simulated field. It expertly turned the soil, transforming it from hard to soft and fertile. Then, it methodically planted each seed, landing precisely in its designated spot. The entire process was seamless, the precision and efficiency of its movements breathtaking.
Lotta stood quietly by, patiently and meticulously explaining the scientific principles and practical applications behind each step of the agricultural robot's operation. The children listened intently, occasionally exclaiming in amazement and cheering. At that moment, this small farmland seemed to have transformed into a vast classroom filled with knowledge and joy.
At this moment, Yu Han's eyes widened, and with curiosity on his face, he stretched out his chubby little hand, trying to touch the cool-looking robot. I was shocked when I saw this, and hurriedly stepped forward to grab his arm, and lowered my voice and gently warned him: "Yu Han, no, this is very dangerous!" However, the little guy did not give up the idea because of my obstruction. Then, Teacher Lotta, standing nearby, had an idea and smiled as she suggested, "Let's split up into groups now so everyone can get a closer look at these amazing robots!" As soon as she finished speaking, the children cheered excitedly. They quickly formed into groups as instructed and eagerly gathered around the robots.
The children in each group stared intently at the robot in front of them, their eyes unblinking, as if afraid to miss even a single detail. Some couldn't help but gently tap the robot's smooth exterior, letting out murmurs of admiration. Others tilted their heads, carefully examining the robot's intricate parts and circuitry, occasionally asking hilarious questions like, "Can this robot sing?" and "Can it help me with my homework?"
Looking at the children's bright eyes, brimming with curiosity, I felt an indescribable sense of joy. I thought to myself, introducing such a novel and engaging experience to the kindergarten is a truly wise move. I'm sure this intimate encounter with robots will truly inspire a deeper love and passion for science and agriculture in the children. Who knows, perhaps some of these adorable little angels will truly become outstanding scientists and inventors in the future! Thinking of this, my lips curled up, a smile as warm and brilliant as the spring sun.
