Chapter 201 Tauren

Chapter 201 Tauren

Agreed looked with great satisfaction at his subordinates, the Abyssal Hydra, which was even larger than a ferocious mammoth, and the powerful Hydra. The Hydra was now nestled beside Agreed like an obedient pet. Agreed gently patted it and said, "Alright, lad, I'm in a bit of a hurry. Let's continue. There I discovered an ancient race perfectly suited for battle. It's fantastic! They're even more worthy of being tamed than the Grey Dwarves. Go, children, make them tremble, but don't harm them, just frighten them."

Urged on by Agred, Hydra commanded its minions to run in the direction Agred indicated. The behemoths' synchronized steps instantly caused the entire underground world to tremble eerily. Agred, watching the Abyssal Hydras charge excitedly, inexplicably shouted, "Very good, very spirited!"

On the other side, in the minotaur tribe, the female minotaurs were carrying the glowing fungi they had painstakingly collected. These fungi, which could grow underground without sunlight, were the main food source in the underground world. Although the minotaurs were powerful, they couldn't eat meat every day in this barren underground world. In addition, the gray dwarves had recently become rich and powerful for some unknown reason, forcing the minotaurs, who did not have the habit of living in groups, to unite for self-preservation.

Because they were used to living alone, even now that they live together, the minotaurs still lack teamwork and have a chaotic division of labor. Moreover, the minotaurs are not a very intelligent race that is good at development. They have brute strength but no strategy, so they can only live a small part of the underground world. Recently, the expansion of the gray dwarves has further squeezed the minotaurs' living space. Now the minotaurs are facing a very serious problem: either move to the surface world to make a living and compete for territory with intelligent creatures that may be even more troublesome than the gray dwarves, or stay in the underground world and fight the gray dwarves to the end.

Just as the Minotaur tribe's temporary leader and strongest warrior, Minotaur, was having a headache, a sudden loud noise and strange ground tremors made him instantly alert. He grabbed the two battle axes behind him and went outside. At this time, the Minotaur warriors in the tribe were also awakened by the noise and followed Minotaur, taking up their fighting stances towards the source of the sound.

But the appearance of hundreds of Abyssal Hydralisks instantly shattered the psychological defenses of all the Minotaur. Who could have imagined that the Abyssal Hydralisks, who usually lived a solitary life in the underground world, would suddenly appear in such an unusual way, and that they had come specifically for them?

Upon the appearance of the multi-headed lizard from the abyss, the Minotaur's expression darkened, and he roared, "Kill!!!"

Then the Minotaur raised his axe high above his head and struck it with a series of loud sounds. The infected minotaur warriors roared and charged towards the Abyssal Hydralisk under the Minotaur's leadership. They were not afraid of the enemy's strength in the slightest. It seemed that dying gloriously in battle was their life's pursuit. This is the Minotaur, a perfect fighting race with a zero battlefield collapse rate.

The origins of the Minotaur race are truly unknown, but Argreed deduces from clues that they were likely a byproduct of an experiment by a demon.

Minotaur are inherently ferocious and chaotic evil monsters. They worship abyssal demons and enjoy plundering weak creatures as slaves. When they reach adulthood, their bodies can easily exceed four meters in height, which grants them unparalleled strength. Their thick skin also allows them to ignore many traditional physical attacks.

These born warriors are extremely bloodthirsty and cruel. The smell of blood or the sight of broken flesh can ignite a minotaur's slaughtering impulse, even overriding all reason and thought. In their frenzied rage, they charge through any obstacle, their sharp horns crashing down like battering rams, utterly devastating.

In the blink of an eye, the minotaurs crashed into the formation of the abyssal multi-headed lizards. The minotaurs' sharp horns and their numerical advantage instantly knocked down many of the abyssal multi-headed lizards. The minotaurs even charged towards the leading hydra and chopped off three of the hydra's heads with a single axe strike.

But then the hydra's heads instantly regenerated, and the Minotaur's actions enraged it. The hydra's nine heads opened their mouths and lunged at the Minotaur's position. The completely blocked attack forced the Minotaur to swing its axe and cut off all nine of its heads at once, but this was of no use. The hydra's heads regenerated again and bit the Minotaur's limbs.

Then, Minotaur, who was being held tightly by the eight mouths, was handed to the largest head of the Hydra. Just as the Hydra opened its mouth to swallow him whole, Minotaur once again struggled fiercely and forced his flesh to be torn off by the Hydra's mouth. But at the same time, he regained his freedom and punched the largest head of the Hydra.

This sudden attack caused Hydra to lose its balance and fall to the ground. Minotaur pressed his advantage, unleashing a barrage of furious punches on Hydra's nine heads. Soon, all nine of Hydra's heads were smashed to pieces, and Minotaur, panting heavily, knelt on the ground, covered in blood and his wounds were fatal.

However, on the other side, the Abyssal Hydralisks had been driven back by the Minotaur race. Although neither side suffered any casualties, there were still quite a few wounded people lying on the ground, barely alive.

Just then, Hydra revived and stood up, glaring angrily at Minotaur, who was kneeling on the ground and not far from death. Minotaur used all his strength to raise his head and looked at Hydra, shouting unwillingly, "Beast, don't be so smug, I haven't lost yet!"

As he spoke, Minotaur struggled to his feet. With every movement, blood gushed from his veins. This sight terrified Hydra. Minotaur's ferocious behavior made Hydra question its own existence, as it could not believe that life could be so tenacious.

Suddenly, a strange energy enveloped the minotaurs and the abyssal multi-headed lizards, instantly healing the injuries of everyone on the battlefield, including the minotaurs. Afterwards, Agred slowly emerged from the shadow world and stood in front of the minotaurs. As he walked, Agred exclaimed with satisfaction, "Very good, very good indeed! You are indeed the strongest fighting race I need. It's truly rare to see the usually solitary minotaurs living in groups. It's like heaven is helping me!"

The terrifying dragon aura emanating from Agred instantly intimidated all the minotaurs present. Although the minotaurs were brave, they were not fools. They had just finished a great battle and were powerless to fight against the dragon. Moreover, the dragon had just healed their wounds, so it was hard to say whether it was friend or foe. Therefore, no one dared to make any rash moves.

Upon seeing its master, the Hydra ceased its attack and led the Abyssal Hydra clan to stand behind Agred.
