Chapter 148 Something big happened

Jiang Rao didn't have to wait long before she saw Lin Ran approaching. She couldn't help but feel excited, and she pinched her palm with her fingertips to calm herself down.

On the cliff, the two stood face to face, the wind so strong it almost knocked them over.

"Just tell me what you want from me."

Lin Ran's tone was indifferent, but her eyes held a probing look.

Jiang Rao, however, was different from before; she was calm as if she were brewing something big.

"Lin Ran, what's so great about you that you can make Brother Jingchen so infatuated?"

"I'm clearly the best, why should he choose you and not me!"

As she uttered a series of questions, Lin Ran frowned, feeling unconsciously irritated.

She had no way of answering those questions.

"You summoned me here just to say these things?"

Jiang Rao smiled, lowering her head to hide the madness in her eyes.

"Lin Ran, after thinking it over, there's only one way to get rid of you. You monster, blame yourself for why you had to try and take her from me."

Before Lin Ran could figure out what those words meant, she was pushed and staggered back a few steps, falling right off the edge of the cliff.

She stretched out her hand as if to grab something, but all she could see was Jiang Rao's crazed face.

"Lin Ran!"

The sudden sound behind her sent a chill down Jiang Rao's spine. She slowly turned around and saw Xiao Jingchen's gloomy face. A huge fear enveloped her.

Xiao Jingchen was followed by Zhou Qing; they had just witnessed Lin Ran fall off the cliff.

Before Zhou Qing could even process this fear, he witnessed an even more horrifying scene.

Xiao Jingchen actually jumped down as well.

"Quickly call for help! Hurry!"

Zhou Qing has gone mad.

Although the cliff overlooks the sea and there's little chance of anything serious happening, seeing Xiao Jingchen jump off still made my heart leap into my throat.

After finishing his work, he went back with President Xiao to get the documents, but Lin Ran was not in the room.

This wouldn't have been a big deal, but Xiao Jingchen insisted that he had a bad feeling and followed the surveillance footage all the way here.
