When Li Chenxu returned home in the evening, Mu Xiaoyu was drawing in the study. She had a comic book that was being serialized, and she calculated that there were only five days left until the deadline. There was still enough time, but she also had to attend etiquette classes every afternoon, so her time was a bit tight.
It was just getting dark outside. When Li Chenxu entered the study, only a warm yellow desk lamp was on. Mu Xiaoyu was engrossed in drawing comics on her digital tablet, so focused that she didn't even notice Li Chenxu entering.
It's often said that men who take things seriously are the most attractive, but the same applies to women.
Whether it was the lighting or the fact that today's etiquette class had really worked, Mu Xiaoyu's delicate face looked much softer than before. The warm yellow light shone on her fair skin, making her look like a beautiful painting.

By the time she finished today's drawing, it was already 10:30 p.m. She always goes to bed early, so seeing that it was so late, she didn't linger any longer. She packed her things and went back to her room to take a shower.
After a long and eventful day with little rest, Mu Xiaoyu went straight to bed after her shower. However, she had only been lying down for a short while when she felt the space next to her sink in slightly.
Instantly, Mu Xiaoyu's body tensed up. She subconsciously turned around and saw that the person lying next to her was none other than Li Chenxu.
"You...you, how did you get here?"
Mu Xiaoyu stared wide-eyed at Li Chenxu, stammering and barely able to utter a complete sentence.
Li Chenxu, on the other hand, remained much calmer. He glanced at her indifferently upon hearing this and asked in return, "Why can't I come?"
Mu Xiaoyu was speechless. What Li Chenxu said didn't seem to make any mistakes. They were husband and wife, so sleeping together was perfectly normal. It was just that the awkwardness between them made sleeping together feel very uncomfortable.
However, she had already given up the idea of divorcing Li Chenxu, and it would be too presumptuous of her to continue interacting with him as before.
Mu Xiaoyu hesitated for a while, and just when Li Chenxu thought she was going to refuse again, Mu Xiaoyu nodded and said, "Okay then, but it's agreed that we can only sleep and can't do anything else."
As she finished speaking, Mu Xiaoyu felt her entire face turn red. She thought of the night she and Li Chenxu made love. Although she was drugged at the time and couldn't remember the details clearly, the feeling of their bodies touching was still clearly imprinted in her mind. Every time she saw Li Chenxu's strong and perfect body, that crazy night would involuntarily float into her mind.
Mu Xiaoyu suddenly felt a little fortunate that she had only turned on one wall lamp while she slept. Otherwise, if Li Chenxu had seen her blushing, he might have ridiculed her again.
"Mu Xiaoyu, are you implying something? At night, we just sleep, I don't mean anything by it. But what you just said..."
Although the lights were dim, the two were very close, and Li Chenxu still managed to see Mu Xiaoyu's shy expression. His originally indifferent eyes couldn't help but show a hint of a smile.

She was no match for Li Chenxu at all. She stared at him blankly for a long time, and finally, in a fit of anger and embarrassment, she glared at him fiercely and turned her back to him.
Unexpectedly, her appearance greatly improved Li Chenxu's mood. The gloom that had been weighing on his heart for days due to the divorce dissipated considerably at this moment.
He subconsciously wanted to reach out and hug Mu Xiaoyu, but then seemed to remember something and withdrew his hand.
There's no rush now; we have to take it slow. The most important thing is to get Mu Xiaoyu to give up the idea of divorce. He can tolerate everything else...
Compared to the previous two nights, Mu Xiaoyu slept exceptionally well this night. When she opened her eyes, the sun was already high in the sky, and she felt refreshed and incredibly comfortable all over.
Li Chenxu was no longer beside her. If it weren't for the slightly disheveled bedding, it would have seemed like everything from last night was just a dream.
She had an etiquette class in the afternoon, so Mu Xiaoyu quickly washed up and went downstairs to have breakfast. She planned to finish the manuscript in the next two days, then get a good rest and, by the way... have a good talk with Li Chenxu.
Previously, Li Chenxu misunderstood her and didn't give her a chance to explain. Judging from Li Chenxu's appearance yesterday, he should have calmed down. It would be a good time to talk to him about divorce while he calms down these two days and ease the tension between them.
After all, they are husband and wife, and they live under the same roof, seeing each other all the time. It's impossible for their relationship to remain so strained forever.
Mu Xiaoyu thought Li Chenxu had gone to the company, but when she went downstairs, Li Chenxu was still sitting at the dining table reading today's financial newspaper. He glanced at her and then looked away.
Li Chenxu had always been like this, so his attitude today was actually quite good. Therefore, Mu Xiaoyu wasn't angry about his cold demeanor. She walked to the dining table, sat down, took a sip of milk, and then looked at Li Chenxu, asking, "Have you finished eating?"
Upon hearing this, not only Li Chenxu, but even the servants beside him looked at Mu Xiaoyu with a hint of surprise.
Before, whenever Mu Xiaoyu and Li Chenxu were together, there were only endless arguments. But now, she could actually speak to Li Chenxu calmly. How could they not be surprised!
