Chapter 17 Okay, as long as you think it's good!
"Yes"
Ling Yi was genuinely surprised by Qi Min's keen insight.
"The second question is, what do you think of me as a person?" Qi Min stared at Ling Yi's profile, his eyes filled with anticipation.
Ling Yi was somewhat stunned. He thought Qi Min would press him on how he knew, but who else was there...?
"Your Excellency is very good..." Ling Yi suppressed his doubts and told the truth that Qi Min was indeed quite good.
"Okay, if you think it's good, then it's good."
Qi Min felt slightly relieved and nodded in satisfaction, as long as he wasn't the only one putting in the effort.
"Your Excellency, male insect... do you have any other questions?" Ling Yi asked tentatively.
"No more," Qi Min answered decisively.
"Don't you ask me how I knew it was you beforehand?" Ling Yi asked, puzzled.
"Need not"
"Why?" Ling Yi pressed.
"For no reason, because I don't need to," Qi Min replied simply.
"Why……"
"Oh, right, there's actually another question," Qi Min suddenly remembered.
"Please speak, Your Excellency." Ling Yi felt a slight sense of relief.
"Who beat you up like this?" Qi Min asked casually, as if it were just a casual question.
"Is that all you want to ask?" Ling Yi frowned this time.
"Yes, that's all I wanted to ask," Qi Min said calmly, his voice revealing no emotion.
"It's the younger brother you met that day, sir."
Upon hearing the name Ling Huiyao, a hint of disdain flashed in Ling Yi's eyes.
"What's his name?" Qi Min continued to ask.
"Ling Huiyao... what do you mean by asking this?"
Ling Yi couldn't understand why Qi Min was asking so many questions. Surely he wasn't trying to stand up for her? That was impossible.
'My relationship with Qi Min was only recently assigned, and besides, I had just kept it from him.'
"Understood," Qi Min nodded.
"Why don't you ask me why I knew in advance, or why I was beaten so badly by my own brother?"
Ling Yi decided to get straight to the point and stop trying to probe.
"No need to ask," Qi Min said calmly.
Why not ask?
Because it's not needed.
Well, the conversation has come full circle. Qi Min found it amusing; it was rare to see this person so persistent in asking questions, and it was rather endearing.

At the entrance on the first floor, Ling Yi stood there, watching Qi Min go upstairs, full of doubts.
Ling Yi walked to the sofa and sat down, constantly thinking about his conversation with Qi Min in the car. He couldn't help but feel a little annoyed; every answer from that male insect was... unexpected.
Ling Yi originally thought that Qi Min would be a little angry if he found out that he knew the assigned partner was him but didn't tell him.
But Qi Min's reaction was completely unexpected. He was prepared for Qi Min to be very angry and question him, but Qi Min...
"I need to go out now, is there anything you need me to bring back?"
Qi Min changed his shirt and came downstairs to ask Ling Yi, who was sitting on the sofa.
Where are you headed, sir?
Ling Yi realized that she had been so engrossed in her thoughts that she hadn't even noticed Qi Min coming downstairs.
"I need to buy some things. You stay home and rest. Don't bother seeing me off; I've already called a taxi."
Ling Yi did indeed have the idea of giving Qi Min a gift, but he was exposed before he could say anything.
He could only watch as Qi Min, who had called for the hovercar, left without looking back.

The car soon stopped at the shopping mall that Qi Min often frequented.
Qi Min remembered seeing a jewelry store here before.
When Qi Min went upstairs to change clothes, he checked his savings and wondered if he had enough to buy the item. However, he found that his savings had inexplicably increased significantly.
After investigation, it was discovered that after matching, all the property under the female insect's name would be attributed to the male insect.
This system is truly unreasonable, but Qi Min has no choice but to accept it. That's the rule, but... does this mean that Ling Yi is keeping him?
Everyone says that being a kept man is desirable, but I never wanted to before when I had the chance. Now that I'm here, I'm being forced to eat him; there's nothing I can do about it.
However, if the object of his affections is Ling Yi, well, Qi Min thinks that being a kept man is quite appealing, and eating him would be quite enjoyable.
However, Qi Min still planned to use the money the government gave him to buy a ring. It had a different meaning. Being a kept man was one thing, but some things couldn't be taken lightly. They were two different things.
Qi Min walked into the jewelry store, picked out a simple men's plain ring, and wrapped it up.
Qi Min passed by a plant shop and took a liking to a pot of pink flowers.
The flowers and plants here are used only to purify the air and have no other purpose.
This flower looks a lot like the 'Astilbah' in Qi Min's real world. Qi Min took a liking to it immediately and paid for it!
The flower language of astilbe is: 'I wish to love you with pure devotion.'
They ordered some fresh ingredients before finally getting back into the hovercar to go home.

Ling Yi sat in the room for a long time, motionless, still unable to understand Qi Min's thoughts.
The male insect's series of reactions left Ling Yi completely baffled as to what it was planning to do.
Ling Yi knew he was thinking of gambling, but compared to the other male insects before.
This male insect was undoubtedly the best shield he could find for himself.
Ling Yi suddenly felt as if she had been influenced, as if she had become too interested in Qi Min.
He actually wanted to investigate this male insect; the plan was still in progress and needed his attention. He should focus his mind on more important matters.
Ling Yi decided to act as compliant as possible from now on, and find another time to talk to Qi Min, hoping to gain some authority for herself.
I hope Qi Min will remain as easy to talk to as ever.
Ling Yi suddenly felt a little tired. He had only rested late last night, and then received a call from his female father in the early hours of the morning, saying that things had been taken care of.
Then he went to the distribution center to register, and on the way back he kept thinking about Qi Min's thoughts.
He barely rested; his mind was racing. Although female insects have strong regenerative abilities, they also get tired. Ling Yi slowly fell asleep.
When Qi Min returned home, he didn't see Ling Yi on the first floor. He looked upstairs and guessed that Ling Yi should be in his room.
I didn't go upstairs. After arranging the flowers, I started washing vegetables and cooking. This time, I bought a lot of ingredients.
Qi Min prepared a large meal, and about an hour and a half later, all the food was ready.
Qi Min looked at the table with satisfaction, nodded, took a tissue to wipe his hands, and turned to go upstairs.
Instead of knocking on Ling Yi's door immediately, she went back to her own room, quickly changed her clothes, and took a shower.
Hearing the noise from next door, Ling Yi woke up. Not hearing Qi Min come over, he thought for a while and decided to go find Qi Min himself.
As soon as she opened the door, she saw Qi Min about to knock.
"Perfect timing, come down for dinner," Qi Min said gently.
Looking at the water droplets still dripping from the male insect's head, and smelling the aroma of food in the air, Ling Yi really didn't know what to say.
Other male insects, whether before or after mating, generally do not cook, and they certainly do not cook if they have a mate.
Basically, whether it's the chores at home or the work and earning money outside, it's all handled by the female.
The male insect only needs to maintain its mood and complete the reproduction process; everything else will naturally be arranged by the female or sub-female.
