Chapter 117 Fallen Beast Fish Zijing
Chapter 117 Fallen Beast Fish Zijing
The courtyard where Snake Ink temporarily resides within the Moi tribe.
Chu Xinyao sat on a wooden chair, and her snake cubs swarmed around her, nuzzling her hand with their little heads.
She stroked each child's head, her eyes filled with tears of heartache.
"How could they all be so thin?" Her voice choked with emotion, filled with guilt and worry for the children.
She was indeed very thin. These children were three months older than her second child in her space, but apart from being a little taller, their weights were almost the same.
The children in the space were fed milk and meat every meal, and with the meticulous care of their mothers, they all grew plump and healthy. But these children in front of me, lacking sufficient nutrition and having not had a proper rest for a single day while searching for her, appeared so thin and weak.
Chu Xinyao picked up a cub and ran her fingers through its scales. "Babies, Mommy is so sorry for making you suffer."
The cubs felt Chu Xinyao's gentle touch and rubbed their little heads against her hand, as if to comfort her and tell her that they didn't blame her.
Their eyes shone with dependence and trust in their female mother. Although they were still young, they knew in their hearts that their female mother was their greatest support.
She gently cradled each of the cubs in her arms, her movements tender and careful, as if afraid of hurting them. She kissed each child's forehead, "From now on, Mommy will never let you suffer again."
She takes the children into her nursery, where there isn't much food, but they are one with her, and she will do everything in her power to take good care of them.
Chu Xinyao raised her head and met She Mo's gaze, who had been watching her the whole time. "Thank you, She Mo." Without She Mo's care, the children's situation might have been even worse.
Shemo shook his head, squatted down, and placed his head in Chu Xinyao's arms.
"Yao, it is I who should apologize. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have suffered all of this, and our cubs wouldn't be so thin and weak."
His voice was filled with self-reproach and guilt, and his eyes were full of apology to Chu Xinyao and the children.
Chu Xinyao smiled and shook her head, stroking Shemo's head.
After a brief moment of tenderness, Chu Xinyao suddenly asked, "Hey, where are they?"
Holding her, Snake Ink's expression changed slightly.
"They're discussing something," Snake Ink said calmly, but he knew very well that the so-called discussion was no simple matter.
In a secluded spot on the other side of the courtyard, Hu Xiao stood in the shade of an old tree, rubbing his slightly sore arms. It was the first time he had ever beaten someone up so satisfyingly.
A satisfied smile played on his face, as if he had just completed an important task.
Yu Zijing and his nephew Yu Paopao sat on the ground, looking rather disheveled. Yu Zijing lowered his head, concealing the resentment in his eyes.
Fish Bubble wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand, his eyes filled with anger. Their clothes were covered in dust, clearly indicating that they had just been in a fierce conflict.
No, that's not quite right. It's less of a conflict and more of a one-sided beating they were getting.
"You've had enough of that!"
They knew they were in the wrong and didn't fight back when they were beaten, but that doesn't mean they were afraid of Hu Xiao.
"Have you had enough? What, you think you did the right thing?" He Yu said sarcastically, arms crossed.
Her crystal-clear eyes stared sharply at them, as if she could see into their hearts and understand their every thought.
Hu Xiao recalled those three months of trepidation and felt a renewed urge to act. His gaze was fixed on the two of them, as if he were ready to strike again at any moment.
Crane Feather's gaze, like a sharp blade, swept across Yu Zijing's lowered head, a hint of barely perceptible contempt flashing in his eyes.
Fish Bubble was merely taking the blame for his father, nothing to brag about. However, the fish-dragon beastman before him made him wary.
A cold glint flashed in He Yu's eyes; the bloodline nurtured within Xin'er was his own.
"Look up."
He Yu's voice carried an unquestionable command as he walked up to Yu Zijing and looked down at him, forcing him to look up.
Yu Zijing felt the pressure from the crane feathers, and his hand on the ground clenched and then relaxed. He took a deep breath and silently recited in his heart, "This is Yu'er's beast husband, this is Yu'er's beast husband."
He forced down his anger, even though it was churning inside him like a volcano.
Fish Bubble, who was standing nearby, was worried that he might suddenly lash out and hurt Chu Xinyao's beast husband, so she reached out and tugged at his sleeve, trying to calm him down.
Yu Zijing sensed Yu Paopao's worry. He turned to look at Yu Paopao, gratitude flashing in his eyes. He knew that Yu Paopao was protecting him in her own way, even though it seemed somewhat powerless.
Seeing that Yu Zijing refused to look up for a long time, He Yu frowned slightly, his patience was being worn down little by little.
He reached out, grabbed Yu Zijing's chin, and forcibly lifted his head.
"Look at me." He Yu's voice was deep, his eyes fixed on Yu Zijing.
He Yu's gaze swept across Yu Zijing's face, as if he were searching for something.
Finally, his gaze settled on Yu Zijing's lips, which were tightly pursed, as if she were quite dissatisfied.
A cold smile curled at the corner of He Yu's mouth.
"So it was you who forced Xin'er to carry your cub?" He Yu's voice was laced with sarcasm.
A surge of anger welled up in Yu Zijing's heart, and he wanted to retort. He took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down; he knew he couldn't lose control here.
"No, I didn't. We were mutually in love."
"You're talking nonsense!" Hu Xiao shouted angrily. Yao Yao was kidnapped during his mating ceremony, and the cub in Yao Yao's belly was already more than three months old. His Yao Yao was not a casual female.
It's impossible that she would easily mate with other orcs after agreeing to become his partner; it must have been forced by this orc.
"I'll say it again, I didn't. We were in love, Yu'er..."
Yu Zijing's words were interrupted by sudden violence. Hu Xiao's fist came like a whirlwind and struck his cheek hard.
His body involuntarily swayed, blood seeping from the corner of his mouth. He stuck out his tongue and slowly licked away the warm liquid, as if using this action to calm the turmoil in his heart.
"I don't care if you're forced or willing. After Xin'er gives birth, you will take the cub away and you will never be allowed to appear in front of Xin'er again." He Yu's voice was cold and resolute, his words like sharp blades piercing Yu Zijing's heart.
He exerted a little force in his hand, wanting to push Yu Zijing away, as if the other party was just a stain that he was eager to erase.
However, at that moment, a hand suddenly grabbed his wrist with such force that it almost broke his bones.
He felt a sharp pain and looked at Yu Zijing in surprise.
"I told you, Yu'er and I are in love. I've only been tolerant of you because you are Yu'er's lovers, not because I want you to trample on me at will."
He Yu snorted coldly and flicked his wrist, trying to break free from Yu Zijing's control.
But Yu Zijing held on tightly, his hand as firm and strong as an iron clamp.
"Uncle, please don't..."
Yu Paopao wanted to say something to comfort her, but when she saw the dark aura in Yu Zijing's eyes, she stopped talking abruptly.
