Chapter 124 A Lament of Tears: The Narcissus Mermaid

"My turn begins. I activate the effect of my card 【Eternal Evil - Pearl World】, adding one Pearl Tear Elegy monster from my Deck to my hand. I choose 【Pearl Tear Elegy-Type Siren Mermaid】."

"I discarded [Ash Blossom] from my hand to negate the effect of [Eternal Decay - Pearl World]." Pearl World, it's limited to 1 in the OCG, and completely gone in the MD.

Actually, the Pearl Tears Elegy deck wasn't that overpowered when it first came out, until the appearance of the Underworld deck.

The "Reversal of the Realm and the Underworld" deck, as the name suggests, revolves around the trap card "Reversal of the Realm and the Underworld." It's an evolution of Isis's deck from the DM anime. All four of the deck's lower-level monsters are Fairy-Type, EARTH, and Level 4, hence it's also known as the "Earth Angel."

These four cards are a godsend for any graveyard deck, as they each have two effects, and each effect can be used once per turn.

They are respectively

【Ancient Guardian Argento】

Effect 1: When a card is sent from your hand or Deck to your opponent's Graveyard, you can Special Summon it from your hand. Then Special Summon 1 Level 4 Fairy-Type EARTH monster other than this card's name from your Graveyard.

2. Effect: When this card is sent to the Graveyard from your hand or Deck, send 5 cards from both players' Deck to the Graveyard. After that, if you have "Reversal of the Realm" in your Graveyard, you can send 5 more cards from the top of either player's Deck to the Graveyard.

【Ancient Vanguard Kelberk】

Effect 1: When a card from your hand or Deck is sent to your opponent's Graveyard, target 1 Special Summoned monster your opponent controls. Special Summon this card from your hand. Return the targeted monster to its owner's hand.

2. Effect: If this card is sent from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard, activate this effect. Send the top 5 cards of both players' Deck to the Graveyard. After that, if you have "Reversal of the Realm and the Underworld" in your Graveyard, you can Set 1 Trap Card from your Graveyard onto your field.

【Sword Priest Mudora】

Effect 1: Discard 1 other Fairy-Type EARTH monster from your hand to Special Summon it. Then you can place 1 "Gravekeeper Trap" from your Deck face-up in your Spell & Trap Zone.

2. Effect: During both players' turns, banish this card from the field and graveyard, and return up to 5 cards from both players' graveyards to their decks. If you do not have "Reversal of the Realm and the Underworld" on your field or in your graveyard, this effect targets up to 3 cards.

[Statue of the Deity Keldo]

Effect 1: Discard 1 other Fairy-Type EARTH monster from your hand to Special Summon this card from your hand. Then add 1 "Reversal of the Realm and the Underworld" or a card with that name from your Deck to your hand.

2. Effect: During both players' turns, banish this card from the field and Graveyard, and return up to 5 cards from your and your opponent's Graveyards to your Deck. If you do not have "Reversal of the Realm and the Underworld" on your field or in your Graveyard, this effect targets up to 3 cards.

Since the Earth Angels are all Angels, can synergize with the Proclaimers, and with the satellite Shining Mischievous Sprite capable of summoning Level 2 monsters from the Graveyard, the invincible Tearful Elegy is born.

However, most of them are now in the "little black room" (a term used to describe a place where someone is detained for illegal activities), and even the better ones are limited to one person.
