Chapter 12 Rare Tower, Little Green Snake
Chapter 12 Rare Tower, Little Green Snake
Ten minutes later, Lei Chi was revived.
"Ding! Your secret camp has been maliciously invaded by players. Losses tallied: Camp Master killed, experience points lost, 41 lunch boxes lost, 42 drinks lost, 6 gold coins lost, Orc Peon killed, experience points lost. Awaiting respawn!"
"Ding, claim calculation in progress..."
"Ding! Your deposit is 5 gold coins, and your camp defense index is 5. After calculation, you will be compensated with a claim chest worth 100 gold coins. Would you like to claim it?"
"100 coins! A new record has been set! Haha!"
Lei Chi was very satisfied and immediately retrieved the treasure chest, then opened it.
"Ding! One insurance policy ensures the safety of the city. No fear of invasion, no worries about reconstruction. You have opened the claim treasure chest and obtained camp reconstruction materials: one Tier 1 Beast Tower construction blueprint, thirty gold coins, and one Beast Brand bicycle."
"Holy crap, there are bicycles here too?"
Lei Chi was taken aback.
Before him, a mountain bike appeared, with straight handlebars, a crossbar, camouflage paint, a bell, and a rear seat. A small triangular flag was stuck on the rear seat with the words "Beast" on it!
[Beast Brand Bicycle: A miniature battle vehicle, with unlimited durability, never wears out, never drops its chain, never gets a puncture, and the faster you pedal, the faster it goes.]
"This thing is called a chariot?" Lei Chi thought for a moment and then understood.
The system means that this thing can be ridden into battle!
For example, when invading someone's secret camp, riding a horse through the war corridor is probably a little faster than running!
The war corridor here in Leichi is only 100 meters long, but its length will increase as you defeat the monster invasion. Having a bicycle will still be somewhat useful.
Lei Chi rode the Beast Brand bicycle, its bell jingling, around the camp square twice before casually tossing it aside. He said, "What use is all this fancy stuff to me? It's not cheap, though, worth 60 gold, equivalent to three orc laborers. Luckily it's not a bound item. I'll leave it here and see who can steal it!"
Leichi collected more gold coins and building blueprints. The blueprint was obtained and its attributes were generated; it was a "Little Turtle Building Blueprint".
The Little Turtle, a melee physical type beast tower, has a base attack power of only 2 points and an attack speed of 0.5, making it arguably the worst tower out there. Compared to the Little Tiger, another melee physical type tower, it is far inferior, as the Little Tiger has a base attack power of 5 points and an attack speed of 1.0.
However, the conditions for this little sea turtle to advance to the next level are simple; it only needs to kill 100 targets to upgrade to a second-tier sea turtle.
"System garbage, no common sense! Is a baby sea turtle considered a ferocious beast?"
Lei Chi couldn't help but complain.
As for the 30 gold coins, Lei Chi thought for a moment, spent 10 gold coins to buy insurance, kept 10 gold coins as a reserve, and planned to use the remaining 10 gold coins to buy a defense tower blueprint. As long as he could build another ranged small tower, he could start the second wave of monster invasion.
Full of anticipation, Lei Chi arrived at the city defense center, spent 10 gold coins, and ended up buying a [Little Green Snake Construction Blueprint].
To Lei Chi's surprise, this little green snake, like the bubble turtle, was also a rare ranged beast tower.

Tower Name: Little Green Snake (Rare)
Area: 1m x 1m
Type: Beast Tower
Rank: First Rank
Attack Power: 2+2 (Focus LV1)
Attack type: Physical
Attack range: 10 meters
Attack Speed: 0.5
Attack Effect: [Poison Gas Invasion], the little green snake attacks enemies with poison gas, causing the target to suffer 2 points of poison damage per second for the next ten seconds. This damage is not affected by armor or magic resistance and can deal true damage to most targets.
Note 1: Small Green Snake + 1 Hundred-Year-Old Snake Gallbladder = Large Green Snake (Tier 2 Defense Tower).
Note 2: The little green snake will prioritize attacking hostile targets within its range that are not infected with the poison.

"My luck has finally turned around! They say the chance of drawing a rare tower is only one percent, and my luck has finally exploded!"
Lei Chi was overjoyed and quickly ran to the war corridor to build a tower. He casually placed the little sea turtle tower, which was trash in melee combat, at the very front, next to the four little tigers.
As for the little green snake, in order to prevent it from attacking the same target as the bubble turtle and causing damage overflow, Lei Chi placed it ten meters away from the spacetime wormhole.
In this way, the invading monsters will be attacked as soon as they appear, and the Bubble Turtle can just pick them off from behind.
After the Little Green Snake was created, it was a silly-looking, chibi-style green fat-headed snake, coiled up in a ball, with a body as thick as an adult's calf and its head held high, nearly a meter off the ground. Although it was called the Little Green Snake, it was estimated that if it were stretched out, it would be at least four or five meters long. If it were in the real world, it would definitely be called a giant snake.
Lei Chi studied the little green snake's data and thought this tower was pretty good. Don't be fooled by its low attack power; the key is that it has the skill "Poison Gas Ingestion" and an attack mechanism that prioritizes attacking unpoisoned enemy targets. So, targets hit by it will receive an additional 20 points of poison damage over the next 10 seconds, in addition to the initial 4 points of physical damage.
It can be said that monsters without armor or poison resistance, with no more than 24 health points, are essentially dead after being hit by the little green snake.
If it weren't for its slightly slow attack speed, this tower would be considered a god-tier tower in the early game.
"With this little green snake, we can easily defeat the second wave of monster invasions!"
Lei Chi wasted no time and immediately applied to the system to start the second wave of monster invasion.
Soon, a mud slime with six health points appeared from the time wormhole.
Mud Slime is like a sticky lump of mud, and it behaves in the same way as Green Slime.
The four little tigers and the little sea turtle at the entrance were very excited and restless. Unfortunately, the mud slime was not easy to reach, so they could only look but not hit it.
The little green snake naturally launched an attack immediately. It raised its head and spat out a mouthful of green venom with a spitting sound, accurately hitting the first mud slime.
"-4!"
"-2! Poison gas has entered the body!"
Damage numbers immediately appeared above the mud slime's head, along with a small green snake icon, and it died within two seconds.
A physical attack plus a one-second poison damage is just enough to kill it.
The little green snake attacked the other slimes, killing them all in one hit. At first, it seemed quite effective, as if it could kill as many slimes as came. Unfortunately, the little green snake's attack speed was too slow. The slimes kept coming one after another, and for every one that died in front, two more would spawn behind. The snake's group slowly advanced.
If more than forty seconds pass, the mud slime will run out of the little green snake's range.
Further on, the little green snake's attacks became quite regular, prioritizing the mud slimes running in the front. It would kill one and then run away, causing the slime team, which was originally one meter apart, to become two meters apart after it was out of its range!
The pressure on the Bubble Turtle is greatly reduced, and its damage can be fully applied. Four seconds is enough to kill three Mud Slimes.
The little green snake filters out the enemies, killing two in four seconds and letting two slip through. The bubble turtle can rest for one second on average after each attack!
These two waves of jungle monsters only lasted about 17 minutes before being defeated. A system notification sounded: "Ding! Congratulations on defeating the second wave of jungle monsters! Rewards have been calculated, and your level has increased to LV2. Your level cap has also increased to LV2!"
"Ding! Your war corridor has been extended by 50 meters. All defensive towers can be repositioned once."
"Ding! You can start the third wave of monster invasion at any time. The third wave of monster invasion consists of LV3 Flame Slimes with 12 HP, a movement speed of 1 meter per second, and a spawn rate of one per second, for a total of 1000."
"Ding! Please note that the Flame Slime has invaded the camp square and can ignite camp buildings."
