Chapter 146 Stay

Chen Youen took the phone and looked down to carefully examine the screenshot on the screen.

Her finger swiped across the screen a few times, then she looked up at Shen Feiwan. "It's true, they even got hold of Shen Zhizhi's transaction records. But..."

Chen Youen paused, her brows furrowing slightly. "There weren't any large transactions listed. But Shen Zhizhi spent a lot of money on her mother and Shen Hao recently, so she shouldn't be able to come up with 200 million so easily, right?"

Shen Feiwan sneered, a hint of mockery in her eyes. "That's not necessarily true. Shen Zhizhi might not give up all her money for Shen Hao and her mother. But she certainly won't help Xu Ruoqing for no reason. Xu Ruoqing doesn't treat her future daughter-in-law well at all... It must be Bo Fang."

“Then that makes sense,” Chen Youen analyzed. “If Bo Fang wanted to harm Bo Junxing, then the motive would also hold water. He’s now crippled and jealous that Bo Junxing has taken control of the Bo family business. And then that idiot Shen Zhizhi was used as a tool. She’s incredibly stupid. This is blatant hiring someone to commit murder, and she’d do that too!”

A cold glint flashed in Shen Feiwan's eyes. "Indeed, Bo Fang is no good either, especially selfish and self-serving. Shen Zhizhi was willing to marry this cripple for her own reasons, so it's not surprising that she's being used by him now."

"So what do we do next?" Chen Youen handed the phone back to Shen Feiwan, her tone tinged with excitement. "Should we just break the ice and let Bo Junxing know the truth?"

"Okay, I'll go back to the hospital in a bit."

"Okay, just drop me off downstairs in a bit. Let me know if there's any progress."

"Yes, sir."

The car quickly arrived at the entrance of Chen Youen's apartment building.

Shen Feiwan stopped the car and watched Chen Youen walk into the building until her figure disappeared from sight before turning her gaze away.

She then picked up her phone and dialed Bo Junxing's number, but the phone rang twice without being answered.

Shen Feiwan frowned and then contacted Bo Junxing's driver.

After a few brief exchanges, she asked for Bo Junxing's room number.

After hanging up the phone, she stepped on the gas and the car sped towards the hospital.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Shen Feiwan saw Bo Junxing's driver waiting outside the ward from afar.

The driver nodded respectfully when he saw her, and Shen Feiwan nodded slightly in return, before walking straight into the ward.

This is a VIP ward, so quiet that the only sound is the faint hum of the medical equipment.

Bo Junxing was lying on the bed with an IV tube inserted into the back of his hand, his face still pale.

His eyes were closed, as if he were asleep.

Shen Feiwan quietly walked to the bedside, her gaze sweeping over the phone on the bedside table. She picked it up and glanced at it; the screen lit up, and the battery was fully charged.

This means that Bo Junxing didn't miss her call; he simply didn't want to answer.

She put the phone back where it was and looked at Bo Junxing's face.

After watching for a while, she keenly noticed a subtle change in Bo Junxing's breathing rhythm.

She simply sat down on the chair by the bed. "I know you're not asleep. Let's talk."

Bo Junxing's eyelids twitched, then he slowly opened his eyes, looking at Shen Feiwan with a cold gaze, "What are you talking about? Is your friend Andu settled?"

“Yes,” Shen Feiwan nodded, “She’s fine, I’ve already taken her home.”

Bo Junxing smirked, his tone laced with sarcasm, "You're so considerate of your friends."

Shen Feiwan ignored his sarcasm and asked directly, "Who did this to you? I know you weren't in a car accident."

Bo Junxing's eyes narrowed slightly. "What did the driver say to you?"

Shen Feiwan smiled. "Don't worry, he's a good employee and didn't say anything. But I just know you're lying."

"Is that so?" Bo Junxing curled the corners of his lips. "Obviously, you don't know everything either."

Shen Feiwan looked directly into his eyes. "That's why I'm asking you."

Bo Junxing met her gaze and mercilessly exposed her thoughts, "But judging from your expression, it seems you're not here to care about me."

“…” Shen Feiwan paused, then said, “Then I’ll be frank. I investigated Qiu Ying’s car accident. The driver’s ex-wife took money from Shen Zhizhi, and I think she was acting on Bo Fang’s orders. Qiu Ying had an accident, and then you had one right after. I suspect there might be some connection between the two, so I want to find out what happened to you.”

After listening, Bo Junxing suddenly laughed, a laugh tinged with disappointment and bitterness.

"So that's how it is... If the Bo family hurt me, you plan to use me to deal with them, is that right?"

Shen Feiwan shook her head. "It's not about 'dealing with'. I don't think you should use the word 'dealing with'. If they really treated you like that, could you just swallow it? You'd be in a difficult position."

"Ha..." Even at this point, she was still trying to convince herself.

Bo Junxing stared into Shen Feiwan's eyes and suddenly interrupted her, "No. The person who hurt me wasn't a member of the Bo family."

"..." Shen Feiwan raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure? You're not just saying this on purpose to make me angry?"

Bo Junxing sneered, his voice tinged with self-mockery, "I'm the one who's been poisoned and injured. What can't I be sure of?"

He paused, then said coldly, "You can leave now."

Shen Feiwan didn't move. After a few seconds of silence, she said, "If Bo Fang did it, then I'll consider this a case of me implicating you."

Bo Junxing looked up at her, his eyes filled with sarcasm, "So you feel guilty now?"

Shen Feiwan pursed her lips. "A little bit."

Bo Junxing laughed, a mocking laugh, "Is that so? If you really feel guilty, then stay and take care of me tonight."

Shen Feiwan raised an eyebrow. "Do you still need it?"

"Why not?" Bo Junxing asked indifferently. "I am a patient now."

Shen Feiwan stared at him for a few seconds, "So who exactly did this to you?"

"What?" Bo Junxing paused for a moment. "If I said it was someone else, were you planning to turn around and leave?"

Shen Feiwan didn't speak, she just looked at him quietly.

Bo Junxing twitched the corners of his mouth, then suddenly changed his mind, "Yes, that's exactly what you think. Is that alright? Could you get me a glass of water? I'm thirsty."

“…Okay.” Shen Feiwan walked to the bedside, reached out and supported Bo Junxing’s shoulder, gently helping him up.

She quickly poured another glass of warm water and handed it to Bo Junxing.

Bo Junxing didn't take the cup; instead, he held Shen Feiwan's hand. "You should feed me. It's my hand that's injured."

Shen Feiwan glanced at his bandaged arm and said, "You only injured your left hand, but you can still use your right hand, right? Take it yourself, if you don't want to drink it, fine."

So cruel?

Bo Junxing chuckled softly, but his fingers remained tightly gripping hers, refusing to let go.

"As expected of you, Shen Feiwan. When you were seducing me before, you fed me water with your mouth. Now I'm lying in a hospital bed with blood flowing from my arm, and you won't even take care of me."
