When Shen Feiwan arrived at the Lin Group building, someone was already waiting downstairs. It was another secretary of Lin Xiaoyan, whom Shen Feiwan had never met before.
He quickly approached her. "Hello, Ms. Shen. Mr. Lin asked me to come and pick you up." The secretary bowed slightly and gestured for Shen Feiwan to proceed.
The elevator goes straight to the top floor.
The secretary knocked lightly twice on the door of the president's office, then turned to Shen Feiwan and said, "President Lin is waiting for you inside. Please go in directly. I'll take my leave now."
Shen Feiwan hummed in agreement and nodded to the secretary.
Just as she was about to push the door open, it was opened from the inside, revealing Lin Xiaoyan's private secretary.
He stood at the door and bowed slightly to Shen Feiwan. "Please come with me."
This was Shen Feiwan's first time in Lin Xiaoyan's office.
The entire space here is surprisingly spacious, covering more than 200 square meters. The outer room is the private secretary's office area, and Lin Xiaoyan's office area is only accessible after passing through a semi-transparent glass partition.
It was already past noon. Shen Feiwan had assumed that Lin Xiaoyan was the only one in the office, but when she entered, she found Lin Xiaoyan sitting with several other people in the meeting area, clearly having a meeting.
Shen Feiwan recognized these as core members of Lin's management team, people who had sat in the front row at the annual meeting. She frowned slightly; if Lin Xiaoyan was discussing business, he shouldn't have let her in directly.
To her even greater surprise, his personal secretary spoke up directly, "Mr. Lin, Madam has arrived."
The moment the word "Madam" was uttered, the office fell silent. Several senior executives were visibly taken aback, but these seasoned business veterans quickly composed themselves.
The leader immediately stood up and said with a smile, "I've heard that Chief Engineer Lin's good news is coming soon, and it turns out it's true."
He turned to Shen Feiwan, "This must be the Shen family's daughter you mentioned before? She certainly has an extraordinary air about her."
"They are indeed a perfect match," another executive chimed in, a smile crinkling his eyes. "When will we be able to attend your wedding?"
Upon hearing this, Lin Xiaoyan stood up with a smile on his lips and walked calmly to Shen Feiwan's side.
In front of everyone, he naturally put his arm around Shen Feiwan's waist. "The wedding date is just around the corner. You will all receive our invitations soon. We look forward to your presence."
One of them glanced meaningfully at the paper bag in Shen Feiwan's hand, "It seems Chief Engineer Lin is enjoying a special lunch today. We won't disturb your romantic time together." The others echoed their congratulations and quickly left the office.
As soon as the door closed, Shen Feiwan placed the paper bag on the table and sat down on a single sofa.
She looked up at Lin Xiaoyan and said, "We're not even married yet, and you're already having your secretary address me like that in front of the executives?"
Lin Xiaoyan strolled over to her and sat on the armrest of the sofa, placing a hand on her shoulder. "It's a done deal, what's there to hide?"
He rubbed Shen Feiwan's shoulders. "At the last annual meeting, you deliberately provoked my mother, making her say that she wanted to arrange a marriage with the Zou family. Although I didn't mean it that way, it wouldn't be good if it got back to her."
He leaned down, his breath brushing against Shen Feiwan's ear. "Isn't semi-public now the best option?"
Shen Feiwan lowered her eyes, then raised her hand to cover the back of his hand, and then looked up at him with a bright smile, "You're right. As long as you don't mind, I naturally don't mind either."
She abruptly changed the subject, getting to today's main point, "By the way, what's the good news you wanted to tell me?"
