Chapter 247 Disagreement
Chapter 247 Disagreement
Chapter 247 Incompatibility
"Bang!"
With a deafening crash, a somewhat dilapidated wooden door was kicked open.
Half of the door panel crashed to the ground, splintering wood everywhere.
"Bah!"
Zhu Feng waved the dust off his face with a look of disgust, then grumbled as he peered into the doorway, "What kind of person could possibly hide in this godforsaken place?"
The dimly lit room was completely open, filled with piles of firewood, a chaotic mess. There wasn't a soul in sight, and not even a place to put your feet.
"There's nothing here, I'm leaving." Zhu Feng glanced at it briefly before preparing to leave without a care in the world.
But just as he turned around, his eyes suddenly flashed and a small black dot flew from a distance, grazing his cheek.
The speed was so fast that even Zhu Feng didn't have time to react.
When he came to his senses, he felt a sharp pain, and the smell of blood filled his nostrils. Zhu Feng reached out and touched it; his fingertips felt warm and sticky.
His face instantly turned ugly. He turned around and looked behind him, gritting his teeth as he said, "Wu... Li!"
Amidst Zhu Feng's furious roar, Wu Li, whose name had been called, emerged from the shadows, glanced at him dismissively, and said with utter contempt, "Did I say you could leave?"
"Even a dog knows to turn a place upside down to find something, but you're just a piece of trash. You take one look and leave. What use are you?"
A surge of anger welled up inside Zhu Feng. He clenched his fists, his eyes wide with rage and murderous intent, and strode towards Wu Li, shouting, "Who are you calling trash?!"
Wu Li looked at him, scoffed coldly, her eyes filled with contempt, and her tone even more sarcastic: "You."
Under his relentless and merciless mockery, Zhu Feng's face turned extremely ugly. He could no longer hold back and immediately roared, lunging forward to grab Wu Li's collar.
Seeing this, Wu Li just smiled disdainfully, "You delivered yourself to my door, so you can't blame me."
With that, he flashed away, and Zhu Feng only saw a black shadow pass by before he realized he had missed his target.
The next moment, several flapping sounds rang out from all directions. Zhu Feng's expression changed, and he subconsciously looked up, only to see a swarm of black poisonous bees flying towards him!
The scene was so overwhelming that it almost engulfed him entirely.
Zhu Feng dared not be careless. He quickly took a few steps back, gritting his teeth as he channeled his inner energy and slapped at the poisonous bees with his palm.
In an instant, sharp palm winds howled incessantly.
The poisonous bees, struck by the palm strike, scattered and fell to the ground like snowflakes.
Even so, Zhu Feng did not show any sign of relief. After all, there were just too many poisonous bees, and their relentless attacks made it difficult for him to cope for the time being.
Just as Zhu Feng was getting desperate from being harassed by the poisonous bees, Wu Li finally made a move.
With a light touch of his toes, he stealthily moved forward and appeared behind Zhu Feng in the blink of an eye.
Wu Li curled his fingers into a claw, raised his hand high, and reached out to grab Zhu Feng's neck.
A slight smirk appeared on his lips, revealing a somewhat malicious smile. Under the sunlight, a faint blue light emanated from his palm.
Just as Wu Li's hand was about to touch Zhu Feng's neck, a shout suddenly rang out, accompanied by several figures rushing in from outside the door: "Stop!"
Wu Li's palm strike paused slightly. Taking advantage of this opportunity, several figures swiftly pounced and separated the two in time.
Upon seeing the corpses of poisonous bees scattered all over the ground, Zhou Chen frowned deeply, his tone tinged with anger, "Wu Li, you've gone too far!"
Even when facing the wrath of several people at the same time, Wu Li still maintained an arrogant demeanor.
He swept his disdainful gaze over the crowd, sneered, and said, "Hmph, no matter how much they stick together for warmth, trash is still trash."
After saying that, he ignored them and turned to walk outside the woodshed, where he drew a sword from one of his men and went inside.
Upon hearing this, Zhou Chen and the others all looked extremely grim. However, since Wu Li was highly valued by the sect leader, they were powerless to do anything about him. They could only suppress their anger and turn around to check on Zhu Feng's injuries.
"Are you alright?" Zhou Chen asked, looking at the wound on Zhu Feng's face.
"Damn it!" Zhu Feng cursed as he vigorously wiped the blood from his face, his eyes still fixed fiercely on the woodshed that Wu Li had entered.
"If it weren't for the fact that the sect leader values this little bastard, I would have skinned him alive long ago!"
"We're ordered around every day, but we can't even get a single thing out of them. I've had enough!" Zhu Feng gritted his teeth and said, enunciating each word clearly.
"Alright, that's enough." Old Man Long frowned, somewhat impatiently interrupting Zhu Feng's cursing.
His gaze then swept over the still somewhat unconvinced crowd, and he added in a deep voice, "Let's bear with it for now. Anyway, we were never part of the Holy Sun Church in the first place. We can teach him a lesson after we get our payment and can leave."
Upon hearing this, everyone's expressions softened, and they stopped saying anything more.
Just then, a loud bang suddenly came from the woodshed. Everyone instinctively turned their heads to look and saw Wu Li carrying a sword, walking out with a gloomy expression.
Seeing that he had returned empty-handed with a dead Gu worm, Zhu Feng immediately let out a merciless laugh.
"Ha, and you still call us trash."
"It seems that the younger brother is still the younger brother after all. No matter what, he can't compare to the older sister."
Upon hearing this, Wu Li's already gloomy face darkened even more, and his eyes stared intently at Zhu Feng as if they were poisoned.
Just when everyone thought Wu Li was about to fly into a rage, he unexpectedly turned and left without saying a word.
Only after confirming that Wu Li had gone far away did Zhou Chen breathe a sigh of relief, shake his head, and say to the others, "It seems there's none here either, let's go."
The group then left.
As soon as they stepped out of the gate, a carriage stopped in front of them as if it had been waiting for a long time, blocking their way.
Before the group could react, the carriage curtain was lifted from the inside, and a male voice with a smile came out at the same time: "Looks like we still haven't found anyone."
Looking up, one could see Song Yunzheng, dressed in a green dress, sitting in the carriage with a smile on her lips.
His eyes, with a half-smile, swept lightly over the group, lingering subtly on one person's face for a few moments.
"What are you doing here?" Zhu Feng asked irritably, his anger still simmering.
Upon hearing this, Song Yunzheng's expression remained unchanged, and her tone was still gentle, "It's nothing, the sect leader just asked me to deliver a message to Lord Fu. Now that I've delivered the message, I should go back."
He raised an eyebrow and smiled slightly, "By the way, I'll also help you bring back any news you haven't gotten anything out of you."
The carriage curtain was lowered again, the driver cracked his whip, and just as the carriage was about to move, a coquettish but unexpected scolding rang out—
"Song Lang, wait for me, I want to help you too."
As soon as the words were spoken, a figure eagerly slipped into the carriage.
