"Brother," Li Xiaohua said softly as she walked to Li Xiangyang's side, "when are we going to the city to tell Mother the good news?"
Li Xiangyang glanced at his sister's expectant eyes and said with a smile, "It's too late today, let's set off first thing tomorrow morning."
Li Xiaohua's eyes lit up, and she nodded: "Okay!"
Li Xiaoyun came out of the kitchen, still holding a damp rag. "Are you going to the city? Then Wangchen and I will go with you. We can bring some homemade pickled vegetables for Mom."

"Daddy, are we going to ride the tractor?" Li Wangchen excitedly ran back and forth in the yard.
Li Xiangyang squatted down and patted his son's head: "We don't want to ride the tractor. Today we'll take a big bus to the city, okay?"

The four locked the door and walked towards the village entrance.
The villagers they met along the way greeted them and were all happy for the Li family when they learned that they were going to the city to tell Linzhi the good news that Li Xiaohua had been admitted to university.
"That's wonderful news! Sister Lin must be overjoyed!"
"Xiaohua is such a promising child; she'll definitely bring honor to our village in the future!"
Li Xiaohua blushed as she listened to the villagers' blessings, feeling both shy and proud.
Upon reaching the village entrance, Li Xiangyang checked his watch and gazed at the distant highway.
In twenty minutes, the bus to the city will pass by here.
"Dad, when is the car coming?" Li Wangchen asked repeatedly, holding his father's hand.
"Soon," Li Xiangyang said, rubbing his son's head. "Look over there, a big truck will be coming from that direction in a bit."
A short while later, a large bus appeared on the highway in the distance.
Li Xiangyang waved to signal, and the bus slowly came to a stop.
The car door creaked open, revealing the driver's disheveled hair and tired face.
"To the city?" the driver asked briefly.
“Yes, four people,” Li Xiangyang replied, while helping his family members into the car.
The bus was already quite full, mostly farmers going to the city to shop or run errands.
Li Xiangyang found four seats close together, let his wife and son sit inside, and himself and his sister sit on the outside.
The car started, and with the roar of the engine, it slowly drove onto the highway, heading towards the county town.
Li Wangchen pressed his face against the window, excitedly watching the scenery rushing past outside.
Li Xiaoyun would pull him up from time to time, afraid that he would fall.
Li Xiaohua appeared somewhat nervous, her fingers constantly twisting the hem of her clothes.
"What's wrong?" Li Xiangyang noticed his sister's unusual behavior and asked softly.
Li Xiaohua hesitated for a moment, then whispered, "Brother, I'm wondering if it will be very difficult in university... Will I be able to keep up?"

The car bumped along, passing through fields and villages, and finally arrived in the county town around noon.
After getting off the car, Li Xiangyang led his family through the bustling streets toward the agricultural bureau where his mother worked.
The county town was much more bustling than the village. The shops on both sides of the street were filled with all kinds of goods, and people came and went in an endless stream.
Li Wangchen looked around curiously, occasionally pulling his father's hand and pointing at something, asking questions incessantly.
Finally, the group arrived at the entrance of the Agriculture Bureau.
The gatekeeper recognized Li Xiangyang and greeted him with a smile, "Oh, it's Comrade Li. Are you here to see your mother?"
Li Xiangyang nodded: "Yes, is my mother home?"
"He's here, he should be in his office. You can go straight up," the security guard said warmly.
The family walked across the courtyard and arrived at the office building.
Li Xiangyang led his family upstairs with practiced ease and arrived at the door of his mother's office.
"Mom!" Li Xiaohua shouted as she eagerly pushed open the door.
Linzhi was organizing documents when she heard a sound, looked up, and saw her family standing at the door. She was overjoyed and exclaimed, "Why are you here?"
"Mom, I got into university!" Li Xiaohua excitedly rushed into her mother's arms, her voice choked with emotion.
Lin Zhi was stunned for a moment, then a bright smile bloomed on her face: "Really? My daughter got into university?"
She hugged Li Xiaohua tightly, tears welling in her eyes: "Good, good! I knew my daughter could do it!"
The family sat around in the small reception room of the Agricultural Bureau, and Li Xiaohua showed her mother the admission notice.
Lin Zhi touched the paper again and again, her wrinkles smoothing out, filled with pride and joy. She turned to Li Xiangyang and Li Xiaoyun: "You've worked so hard, raising Xiaohua so well."
Li Xiangyang shook his head: "It's all thanks to Xiaohua's own hard work and dedication to her studies."
Lin Zhi wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes, stood up, and said, "Today is such a joyous occasion, I must prepare a proper meal so our family can celebrate together!"
Li Xiaoyun quickly said, "Mom, let me help."
"Okay, okay," Lin Zhi nodded with a smile, then looked at Li Xiangyang and Li Xiaohua, "Go to the market and buy some good groceries; we're going to have a nice meal today!"
Li Xiangyang nodded and took his sister out of the office.
The streets were bustling with people, and the brother and sister walked through the lively market, selecting fresh vegetables and meats.
"Brother," Li Xiaohua suddenly stopped and hesitated, "there are still two weeks until school starts, what...is there anything I need to prepare?"
Li Xiangyang thought for a moment and said, "You definitely need to prepare several sets of clothes, and you also need to bring stationery, basins, washbasins, and things like that. Don't worry, I'll take you to the department store in the next couple of days to buy everything you need."
