He released her and said, "Go."
It wasn’t until this moment that Celeste Linden felt it was real; he truly let her go, and she didn’t hesitate and slowly stood up.
In the final moment, she didn’t know what to say. She opened her mouth, wanting to say "Goodbye."
But those two words just wouldn’t come out. The man before her had ruined half her life and was a nightmare she couldn’t escape; if possible, she would never want to see him again in her lifetime.
She couldn’t forgive him from the bottom of her heart; she didn’t want to forgive him.
Celeste Linden turned around and walked straight out of the cave.
She walked forward, step by step, her footsteps firm.
Ethan Barnes followed her out, standing there watching her, but she never turned back, never looked at him.
At this moment, there suddenly came sounds from around; Celeste Linden heard the voice of the leader of the men in black, "Hurry over here, I think I’ve heard something."
"Boss, didn’t we just search there? It seemed like there wasn’t anyone."
"You don’t understand a damn thing; we surely didn’t search carefully, that little wench must be hiding in one of the caves. Hurry and find her."
"Sure, boss, all our men are coming over."
Celeste Linden was startled; those people had returned, and they concentrated their firepower, surrounding this place.
If she fell into their hands, she wouldn’t survive.
Celeste Linden quickened her pace and began to run.
At this moment, sparks flew around her, and the leader of the men in black quickly pushed aside the branches and saw her, his eyes gleaming with a beast-like ferocity, "Haha, little beauty, we’ve found you, haven’t we? Hurry and come back with me. I didn’t think you were so fierce; once we return, I’ll surely train you well and make sure you learn to behave."
Celeste Linden’s eyes widened, her heartbeat suddenly racing.
Then, suddenly came Ethan Barnes’ voice from behind, "Are you looking for me?"
The leader of the men in black looked up, and his eyes lit up; it was Ethan Barnes.
Ethan Barnes hurried over alone to find Celeste Linden, his men hadn’t followed yet, so he was all alone.
The leader of the men in black had all his men gathered here, putting Ethan Barnes in a dangerous situation.
Celeste Linden hadn’t expected him to suddenly speak out; given his character, he should have saved himself, right? She was just a pawn after all.
Then came Ethan Barnes’ voice again from behind; he shouted, "Celeste Linden, go, don’t look back, absolutely don’t look back."
If she dared to look back, he would dare to change his mind. The chance to leave only comes once; if he sees even a hint of reluctance from her, he would grab her to his side, and regardless of whether she hated him or wanted to kill him, he’d never let her go.
He wanted her and the child to always stay with him.
But Ethan Barnes was disappointed because the Celeste Linden ahead, upon hearing this, swiftly quickened her pace; she ran.
From beginning to end, she never looked back.

Ethan Barnes curled his lips self-deprecatingly, watching as she disappeared with the child from his view, gone from his life as well.
"King Hayden, what a coincidence, this is really the place we couldn’t find even after breaking iron shoes, yet here you are without even trying. Now you’re doomed," the leader of the men in black said through gritted teeth, very pleased.
Ethan Barnes’ gaze fell upon the man in black, revealing a contemptuous and bloodthirsty smile, "Who do you think you are, you mangy dog?"

"Want to catch me? Come over here." Ethan Barnes turned and ran.
The two headed in opposite directions, moving further and further apart.
