Chapter 420 - 421 : Figured it out
Chapter 420 - 421 : Figured it out
Victoria’s voice suddenly broke the battlefield.
"Please... I give up!"
The words came out strained, almost desperate.
For a moment the decaying world around them seemed to pause.
Alex tilted his head slightly when the voice reached his ears.
"Sorry, what did you say?"
He scratched the side of his mask casually.
"I have a hearing problem."
He paused for dramatic effect.
"I believe I mentioned that a few moments ago."
Victoria’s expression instantly turned deadly again.
Her crimson eyes burned with restrained fury as she glared at him.
Alex shrugged.
"You’re still a bitch."
Then he glanced slightly to the side.
"Kaelith, do what I just told you."
Victoria’s composure snapped.
"Wait! Wait... wait!"
Her voice came out louder this time.
"I said I give up!"
Alex leaned forward slightly.
"Come again?"
Victoria gritted her teeth so hard her jaw trembled.
’Endure it.’
’Just endure it.’
’I don’t know how... but this bastard has figured it out.’
As she yelled "i admit defeat now are you satisfied."
Before she could say anything further, Alex suddenly spoke again.
"Let me guess."
His tone was calm.
"You’re wondering how I figured it out."
Victoria’s eyes widened slightly.
But she remained silent.
Alex gave a faint shrug.
"I suppose, as your master, I should satisfy your curiosity."
He raised one hand theatrically.
"Gather around, kids."
"It’s time for Uncle Lucifer to impart his genius wisdom."
Victoria’s eye twitched.
But Alex continued as if giving a lecture.
He looked down at the severed hand he was holding, rotating it slowly as if examining a complicated device he had finally solved.
"For a moment... I thought you were immortal."
He took a slow step forward.
"But that wasn’t what I was seeing."
He lifted the hand slightly.
"The first time I destroyed your body, it shattered into cursed energy."
"But the energy itself didn’t disappear."
"It scattered."
He paused.
"And then something pulled it back together."
Victoria stayed silent.
Alex continued.
"So I kept testing it."
"I killed you again."
"And again."
"And again."
"Each time your body collapsed into cursed energy."
"And each time... it rebuilt itself in the exact same pattern."
He gestured toward her.
"That was when I realized something."
"Your body isn’t real."
He tilted his head.
"Or at least... it doesn’t function like one Kaelith has."
"It’s a constructed vessel made entirely from cursed energy."
"And that vessel is maintained by Divine Weapons that contain fragments of your soul and the laws you control."
Victoria’s expression tightened slightly.
Alex raised one finger.
"One Divine Weapon contains the Law of Restoration."
"Whenever your vessel collapses, that law gathers the scattered cursed energy and reconstructs your body."
"That’s why destroying you never works."
He raised another finger.
"A second weapon holds the Law of Conversion."
"That law converts matter, mana, and any available environmental energy into cursed energy for you."
"In other words... you never run out of power."
"No matter how long the battle lasts."
"Everything around you becomes fuel."
A third finger rose.
"The third weapon contains the Law of Destruction."
"When your vessel collapses, the cursed energy that formed it becomes unstable."
"Fragments of scattered energy remain in the area."
"Remnants of my death energy."
"Other energy types."
"Foreign interference."
"If those disturbances remain, they could distort the structure of the next reconstruction."
"They could corrupt the energy being gathered by Restoration."
"So the Law of Destruction activates."
"It annihilates those unstable fragments."
"It erases any interference."
"In simple terms..."
"Restoration rebuilds you."
"Destruction clears away anything that could stop that rebuilding."
Alex then slowly raised the severed hand.
"And the fourth weapon..."
"Contains the Law of Decay."
Victoria’s body flickered faintly.
"You don’t use that law to maintain your vessel."
"You use it to fight."
"Anything touched by that law begins to break down."
"Cursed energy weakens."
"Matter itslef rots."
"Your enemies slowly decay until nothing remains."
Alex lifted the severed hand slightly higher.
"And this hand..."
"Is one of the conduits connecting your vessel to the Divine Weapon that holds the Law of Restoration."
Victoria’s pupils shrank.
’He figured out everything...’
Alex noticed the change in her expression.
A faint smile appeared beneath the mask.
"Now I understand why you’re afraid."
Thin cracks of unstable cursed energy began spreading across Victoria’s arm.
"You aren’t afraid because I cut off your hand."
He tightened his grip slightly.
"You’re afraid because if Kaelith absorbs this..."
"She will gain the Law of Restoration."
Victoria’s body flickered harder.
’If Kaelith absorbs it... the weapon will no longer respond to me...’
Alex continued calmly.
"You’ll still have Conversion."
"You’ll still have Destruction."
"You’ll still have Decay."
"But without Restoration..."
He looked directly into her eyes.
"The next time your vessel collapses..."
"It won’t rebuild."
Victoria stared at the hand in his grasp.
Then she slowly exhaled.
"Alright."
"You got me."
She gritted her teeth.
"You’re strong."
"I acknowledge that much."
"And maybe... a little smart too."
Alex’s mouth twitched.
"Only a little?"
Victoria ignored the remark.
"So what do you want from me?"
Alex blinked.
"Have you also become deaf?"
He pointed at her casually.
"I just said you were made for me."
"So just turn into a sword."
He shrugged.
"So I can use you to chop wood."
Victoria’s fingers curled into fists.
She was barely holding back her rage.
’This infuriating man...’
But then she looked at the masked figure standing calmly before her.
’He possesses unbelievable strength...’
’Maybe I can use him too.’
Victoria slowly stepped forward.
"I have some conditions."
Alex answered instantly.
"I reject them all."
A vein bulged on Victoria’s forehead.
She forced herself to breathe.
"At least hear them first."
Alex sighed.
"Fine."
"But only one."
"I have no obligation to fulfill your wishes."
He shrugged casually.
"But since you’re going to be my slave..."
"I can at least do that much."
Victoria muttered under her breath.
"Only one, huh..."
"This guy is such a cheapskate."
Alex tilted his head.
"What was that?"
Victoria straightened.
"Nothing."
Her expression turned serious.
Then she looked directly into his eyes.
"Help me kill that son of a bitch father of mine."
