Chapter 982 - 945: Labor (Part 4)
Sienna Johnson, who was in the oxygen room, had no idea about the chaos outside. Her contractions were becoming more frequent, and the pain distracted her, making it impossible for her to concentrate.
Adrian Desmond also noticed.
"What’s wrong with you? Is it the labor pangs?"
"Adrian, I think I’m about to give birth."
Adrian was dumbfounded.
"Don’t be nervous. During the prenatal checkup, didn’t the doctor say it? The baby’s position is good, and there should be no problems with a natural delivery. Go find Horace Marshall and ask him to get a doctor here for me."
"Alright." Adrian was very nervous and knocked over the thermos next to him as he got up.
"Don’t be nervous, it’s not my first time giving birth, it’s okay." Sienna comforted him.
"But it’s my first time being with you while you give birth."
Sienna: ...
Adrian walked to the door and knocked. Horace Marshall walked over and asked, "What do you want?"
"Open the door!" Adrian demanded.
Horace Marshall glanced at Adrian. His instincts told him that Adrian was not someone to be messed with.
Having been a soldier when he was young, Horace Marshall could tell Adrian was no ordinary person. Adrian exuded an aura of having taken lives with his own hands.
"No way!" Horace Marshall refused. He couldn’t let this dangerous man out.
"Open the door!" Adrian commanded.
"Brother, I don’t know if you have kids, but my son is dying, and I have no other option. As long as you don’t make any sudden moves, I won’t harm you!"
"My wife is about to give birth, open the door!"
Adrian’s tone was cold and firm. Sienna saw Adrian was about to clash with Horace Marshall, so she walked over, supporting her belly with one hand and her back with the other.
"Mr. Marshall, I’m about to give birth. Please let me out.
I promise you, if the police can’t find a suitable heart for your son, I’ll help find one, ensuring a successful transplant for him," Sienna promised Horace Marshall.
Through the bulletproof glass door, Horace Marshall stared at the two of them. They were clearly not ordinary people, but Horace Marshall had no way of trusting anyone now.
He knew his fate. If he walked out, he’d certainly go to jail.
He had paid such a hefty price, and if he couldn’t get a healthy heart for his son, then his son was doomed.
"I’m sorry!"
People are selfish! To save his son’s life, Horace Marshall didn’t care whether others lived or died.
Adrian clenched his fist and punched the door. The bulletproof glass door didn’t move, but Adrian’s hand was injured.
"Adrian, stop!" Sienna stopped him. Seeing Adrian about to punch again, she quickly hugged his arm.
"Go sit on the side."
"This glass is all bulletproof and tempered. You can’t break it."
"How do you know if you don’t try?"
"Adrian, calm down!"
Seeing Adrian trying to break out, Horace Marshall became alert. He aimed a gun at Adrian’s head and warned, "Behave, or I’ll shoot."
Adrian mocked, "The glass is bulletproof. If you want to shoot me, you’ll have to open the door first."
"Stop!" Sienna said righteously.
"You should tell your husband to stop!" Horace Marshall’s shooting stance was skilled and didn’t seem amateur.
"Adrian, stop!" Sienna held Adrian back, preventing him from further self-harm.
"Open the door! Otherwise, even if your son gets a heart transplant, I’ll still dig that heart out!" Adrian stared at Horace Marshall, speaking in a deep voice.
Horace Marshall’s heart skipped a beat.
Today, if he managed to survive, he’d certainly end up in jail, and who would protect his son then?
"Killing is illegal!" Horace Marshall said.
Adrian replied, "And so what if it’s illegal?"
Adrian had a fierce determination, caring about nothing else, making Horace Marshall afraid.
"If I let you out, can you guarantee not to hinder my way?"
"You have no choice!"
Adrian stood there, tall and imposing. In front of Adrian, Horace Marshall felt his aura suppressed.
Finally, Horace Marshall opened the door.
Adrian supported Sienna as they walked out. Others turned to Adrian, pleading with him to take them away too, their chattering making Adrian’s head throb.
"Shut up!" Adrian said deeply, and suddenly everything went silent.
