Chapter 193 I Said I Only Love You
Chapter 193 I Said I Only Love You
"Lin Qingran, how dare you!" Fu Xiuheng suddenly roared.
Lin Qingran suddenly turned around. "You can give it a try."
Fu Xiuheng sneered, "Fine, do as you please, but remember this: I won't care about the mistakes Fu Xingze made, even if you take them to the Emperor himself."
The atmosphere in the ward was so oppressive that it was hard to breathe.
Lin Qingran glared at Fu Xiuheng with eyes that seemed to want to tear him to pieces.
Her chest heaved violently, her hands clenched into fists, and her body trembled slightly with anger.
"Fu Xiuheng, you're a demon!"
Lin Qingran's voice was choked with sobs, yet it was also unusually sharp, like a razor blade piercing Fu Xiuheng's heart.
“Xingze is your own son. He has made a grave mistake, and you can so coldly say you don’t care about him! Do you know that his life has just begun? Is he really going to be ruined like this in a juvenile detention center?”
Fu Xiuheng sat on the hospital bed expressionlessly, his eyes cold and empty, like a stagnant pool.
He really didn't understand why Lin Qingran could forget everything he had said before just because Fu Xingze had committed a crime, so why couldn't she forgive him?
His lips were slightly pursed, as if he was trying to suppress his inner emotions.
Upon hearing Lin Qingran's accusation, the corners of his mouth turned up slightly, revealing a mocking smile, yet tinged with bitterness.
"Me, indifferent?" Fu Xiuheng's voice was low and hoarse as he slowly spoke.
"Lin Qingran, what right do you have to judge me? When you faked your death and left, did you ever think of me? Did you ever think of Xingze? You left him alone in this world, making him face the pain of not having a mother. From that moment on, this family was already torn apart. This ending is not surprising."
A flash of anger crossed his eyes as he stared intently at Lin Qingran, as if trying to see right through her.
Lin Qingran's body jolted violently, as if Fu Xiuheng's words had struck a vital point.
A look of pain crossed her face, but the anger in her eyes remained undiminished.
"Fu Xiuheng, you know what will happen to me if I don't leave and stay by your side!" she shouted, tears welling up in her eyes.
"But no matter how wrong I am, I'm still better than you as a father. All you know is to be busy with work and revolve around Lin Yuyan. How much time have you actually spent with Xingze? Do you understand his inner world? Where were you when he encountered confusion and pain during his growth?"
As she spoke, she took a step forward, pointing her finger forcefully at Fu Xiuheng.
Fu Xiuheng frowned slightly, a hint of displeasure in his eyes.
He turned his head away, avoiding looking at Lin Qingran's angry eyes, and said coldly.
"I told you, you don't love Lin Yuyan, I love you! Don't mention her!"
"Shut up, Fu Xiuheng!" Lin Qingran roared.
"I have no interest in talking about feelings with you. Please have some self-respect. What's important right now is Xingze!"
"Fine, I won't mention it." Fu Xiuheng's expression dimmed for a moment, but he quickly regained his indifference.
“Let’s just talk about Fu Xingze. Do you think you know him well? Where were you when he made mistakes? Did you even show up? Now that he’s in trouble, you come back pretending to be a good person, hypocritically saying you want to save him. Don’t you find that ridiculous?”
His voice was calm, but it carried a chilling indifference.
"You want me to save people? Sure, but only if you promise to remarry me."
Lin Qingran was so angry at Fu Xiuheng's words that her face turned red and the veins on her forehead bulged.
Fu Xiuheng is using Fu Xingze to threaten me!
Her lips trembled slightly, and tears, which she could no longer hold back, streamed down her face.
"You bastard!" she roared hysterically. "You don't deserve to be a father at all. You pushed Xingze into the abyss, and now you're here making sarcastic remarks and even using him to threaten me? Fu Xiuheng, I won't let you get away with this. I will definitely save him!"
Fu Xiuheng's expression changed slightly. He turned his head and looked at Lin Qingran's tear-streaked face, a complex emotion suddenly welling up in his heart.
A flicker of pain crossed his eyes, but it was quickly masked by indifference.
"You want to save him? Do you think you can? The crimes he committed are far too serious; it's not something you or I can do as we please. This is his own choice, and he must be held accountable for his actions. Besides, this is for the sake of the Fu Group!"
His voice remained cold and calculating.
Lin Qingran closed her eyes in despair, tears streaming down her cheeks.
She took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down.
When she opened her eyes again, they were filled with hatred.
"Fu Xiuheng, you will pay the price for what you have done."
She gritted her teeth and said, "I will tell Old Master Fu everything that happened today, and let him see how you, this so-called good grandson, treat your own flesh and blood! You want to do everything perfectly, but don't forget, you're not the only one who can inherit the Fu family group!"
After saying that, she turned and strode towards the door of the ward.
Before leaving, she stopped, turned back and glared fiercely at Fu Xiuheng, her eyes seeming to say, "You just wait," before slamming the door shut and leaving without looking back.
The door slammed shut behind her, and the whole ward seemed to tremble.
Bo Ye anxiously chased after her, "Jiu Ge, don't get too excited."
Lin Qingran ignored Bo Ye's words of comfort and walked straight ahead, her steps hurried, as if she wanted to escape this place that caused her pain.
Susukino sighed helplessly and could only follow closely behind her.
Lu An witnessed all of this from outside the ward, his heart filled with helplessness and worry.
He knew that things were becoming increasingly complicated and difficult to handle.
Lu An witnessed everything, and his heart tightened. He quickly chased after them.
"Miss Jiang, please wait!" Lu An shouted as he ran, his forehead covered in anxious sweat.
Hearing Lu An's call, Lin Qingran stopped and turned around to look at him impatiently.
"What else do you want?" Her eyes still burned with anger.
Lu An ran up to Lin Qingran, slightly out of breath, with a serious expression.
“Miss Jiang, please don’t be angry. Let me explain. The president may have had a relapse. Before he fainted, he was very concerned about Young Master Xingze. He kept urging us to find Young Master Xingze. He was really anxious. He’s not as heartless as you see him.”
Lin Qingran sneered, her eyes filled with suspicion and disdain.
"A relapse? Is that the excuse you're making up for him? He was so cold just now, do you think I'd believe he cared about Xingze before?"
She crossed her arms over her chest and leaned back slightly, as if to distance herself from Lu An and show that she didn't want to hear his explanation at all.
