Chapter 489 Ultimate Notes 2 16
Chapter 489 Ultimate Notes 2 16
Xie Yuchen had a guess: "You two fought? You lost?"
"I, the blind man, have lost miserably," Black Bear sighed, reflecting on the emotions he had been stirred by her.
He should say he's lost both physically and mentally now, as his attention has become increasingly uncontrollably focused on her.
This was the first time in so many years that he had felt this way, because of a woman.

In the stillness of the night, while everyone rested quietly, Shi Ying listened to the subtle movements in the grass and silently released his aura.
Chen Wenjin, who was hiding in the shadows, was observing which person in the group might be "it" when he was suddenly shocked by what he saw.
A large flock of pheasants emerged from the grass, their necks seemingly frantic as they fled the area.
Many even slipped away from her feet, as if they couldn't see her at all, and quickly caught up with the main group of snakes.
Chen Wenjin was puzzled, wondering what was going on. Had something they feared appeared?
She looked at it for a long time but still couldn't figure it out.
The commotion in the bushes woke everyone else up, and they got up alertly to investigate.
However, by this time the snakes had mostly left, and there was nothing left to see.
It can only be said that Shi Ying's aura was too terrifying, and these snakes fled at full speed.
Everyone got up, but Shi Ying was still unwilling to open her eyes. She had driven away the snakes just so she could get a good night's sleep.
"What was that sound just now?" Wu Xie asked first.
Zhang Qiling: "Snake." After he finished speaking, he took a flashlight and shone it around Shi Ying's side, worried that there might be a snake.
"It sounded like there were many snakes moving around," Xie Yuchen added.
Black Bear looked around and said, "Could we have fallen asleep next to a snake's nest?"
Ah Ning patted Shi Ying, a little worried: "How can you still sleep? Don't get bitten by a snake."
"It's alright, the snakes are all gone." Shi Ying turned over and continued sleeping.
"Who!!!" Wu Xie suddenly looked to the side, at the bushes where someone was clearly making noise.
Everyone looked over, and Chen Wenjin turned and ran. The others reacted quickly and chased after him.
Ah Ning glanced at Shi Ying, who remained unmoved, then stopped and sat down next to her.
Hei Xiazi hesitated for a moment, then looked back. Although he knew Shi Ying was very capable, he thought she was carefree.
Seeing his expression, A-Ning understood: "I'll stay here, you go with me and see what's going on?"
"Okay, then be careful." After saying that, he chased after them.
Shi Ying tried to sleep for a while, but found she couldn't fall back asleep. She opened her eyes, wiped her face, and sat up listlessly.
Ah Ning looked at her and said, "You're pretty carefree. You can still sleep soundly with all that noise."
"Everyone else is here, so my presence won't make a difference."
“Black Glasses seems to care about you a bit.” Ah Ning paused for a moment, then added, “And Little Brother too.”
She noticed that the two of them paid significantly more attention to Shi Ying than to others.
Shi Ying just smiled and didn't refute, then heard her say, "Boss, I won't say anything. I trust you know what you're doing."
It's not good for them to get too involved with these people, since they're still being controlled by them.
"Hmm." Shi Ying didn't care much; she wasn't afraid of Jude Kao.
The two sat around the fire; the night was still a bit chilly.
After a long silence, Ah Ning spoke again: "I wonder who that clay figure was? It looked like it was watching everyone from the shadows."
Shi Ying touched her arm, put on her coat, and said, "Who knows?"
Of course she knew in her heart that Chen Wenjin was covered in mud and following them around. She was dirty and uncomfortable every day and had to be careful. She was really good at enduring hardship.
Oh, she has the scent of a forbidden woman on her body, probably used to being pickled and flavorful, and only thinking about immortality.
While Shi Ying's mind was racing with all sorts of thoughts, A Ning was still wondering if they had caught up with the clay figure.
They only snapped out of their daze when they heard footsteps getting closer.
"They're back!" Aning stood up and looked in the direction everyone had just left.
Shi Ying rested her head on her knees and looked over as well, saying, "Mmm."
A Ning walked over to Wu Xie and asked, "Where is he?"
Wu Xie shook his head: "We couldn't catch up. Only Xiao Ge and Hei Xiazi went with us."
"Did you see who it was?"
"I didn't see clearly, they ran very fast."
No one had any clue, so they could only sit and wait for the people who had caught up to return.
Shi Ying had already lay down and continued to sleep. To others, she seemed carefree and indifferent, but in reality, she was only able to sleep because she had no doubts in her heart.
As dawn broke, Hei Xiazi returned, and Wu Xie immediately went up to him and asked, "Where's Xiao Ge? Why didn't he come back with you?"
"I can't say anything about Zhang the Mute, and I don't know what he's thinking."
"So you saw that person? Do you know who it is?"
Hei Xiazi didn't want to say more. He hadn't spoken to the two of them before they left him: "You should wait for him to come back and tell you."
Shi Ying overheard their conversation from afar and figured that Zhang Qiling was being used by Chen Wenjin to get his help with things, using his memories as leverage.
Wu Xie couldn't get any information out of him, so he could only sit to the side, feeling frustrated.
The fat man comforted him, "Naive, the young man will definitely be fine. We'll just wait for him to come back."
Wu Xie remained silent for a moment, then said, "Pan Zi, send another signal to Uncle San."
“Okay, if Third Master sees this, he will definitely respond to us.” Pan Zi took out a signal flare.
After Xie Yuchen sent the signal, he kept looking at the sky.
After waiting for a while and still not seeing a response from Wu Sansheng, Fatty joked with Wu Xie, "Your third uncle wouldn't have abandoned you, would he?"
Hei Xiazi didn't join their conversation. He walked over to Shi Ying and asked, "What are you looking at?"
Shi Ying pointed to the distant sky, where a plume of red smoke was rising. She turned back and asked, "Panzi, is that a signal from Wu Sansheng?"
Upon hearing this, the others walked over to her and looked in that direction. Pan Zi nodded: "It's Third Master, but the red smoke means they've encountered danger."
Finally, everyone decided to go find Wu Sansheng first, since Zhang Qiling had left on his own, they would eventually run into him after going inside.
Shi Ying still felt the pace was too slow, so she quietly led the way along the way, also preventing everyone from getting into some dangerous situations.
The place where they rested that night was not far from Wu Sansheng's camp.
It's too dark to travel, so everyone should rest first.
In the middle of the night, when everyone was almost asleep, Shi Ying suddenly opened her eyes, stood up without making a sound, and walked to the side.
"Zhang Qi Ling!"
The figure in front, who was about to turn away after seeing her approach, paused for a moment upon hearing this, and slowly turned around.
Shi Ying stepped forward and chuckled, "Why did you run away when you saw me? Weren't you staring at me the whole time?"
