Chapter 236 Divinity

Chapter 236 Divinity

After inspecting the grassland, Agreed nodded repeatedly in approval of its development. He then went to Otto's lair. Otto's strength was now comparable to that of an ancient dragon, so when Agreed's puppet descended, he immediately recognized Agreed's soul fluctuations and respectfully came out of the lair to greet his master.

“Master, you have arrived.” Otto lowered his proud dragon head and greeted Agreed.

Agreed waved for him to dispense with the formalities, then asked with concern, "You've worked so hard all these years. I've come to give you a reward. By the way, Warwick lives in that direction, right?" As he spoke, Agreed pointed to a camp in the distance, a mobile dwelling somewhat similar to a yurt.

Otto nodded and replied, "Yes, Lord Warwick has been busy with his training lately, and I have also fallen into a deep sleep, so the affairs of the grasslands have actually been handled by the centaur leader 'Chiron'."

Agreed nodded and said, "I understand. This is the inheritance of high-level dragon language magic. Accept it and continue your cultivation." Then Agreed disappeared from the spot.

"Yes, sir." Otto bowed respectfully to the location of Agred, then picked up Agred's reward and carefully began to peruse the wisdom bestowed upon him by his master.

Afterwards, Agred approached the centaur Cade and gifted him a tracking bow made of dwarven alloy. This was a hastily prepared reward, so the workmanship was somewhat rough, but it was more than enough to be a legendary warrior's weapon. Cade himself was only at the Grandmaster level, so Agred specially gifted him a set of cultivation techniques to improve his strength. As a result, the centaur race became even more devoted to Agred and reluctantly watched him leave their territory.

White Wolf Camp

Warwick was sitting cross-legged, feeling the power of the Wolf God within his body. He had recently felt that he was only half a step away from breaking through to the level of a demigod and reaching the level of a god-like being, but at the crucial moment he always failed to grasp the key points and thus could not break through, which made him very irritable.

Because he was preoccupied with his own thoughts, Warwick didn't notice Agreed's arrival immediately. So Agreed manipulated a puppet to come up behind Warwick and whispered, "What are you thinking about? So engrossed?"

Warwick snapped back to reality and reached out, but Agreed parried and blocked, then delivered a sharp flick to Warwick's head. Agreed's voice followed, teasing, "You little brat, you dare to fight me now? But you were too careless. If this were an enemy, you would already be injured."

Warwick immediately recognized Agreed and hurriedly stood up, cupping his hands in apology, saying, "Master, I'm sorry, I was too careless."

Agreed waved his hand and said, "It's nothing, I was just joking with you. What are you thinking about, little guy? You seem a bit lost lately. What happened? If it's something to do with your cultivation, I can help you."

Warwick didn't refuse, and said somewhat ashamedly, "I recently had a feeling that I had discovered an opportunity for a breakthrough, but I always feel like I'm missing something and I just can't take that step. This makes me very anxious because I feel that if my strength stops improving, then I won't be able to walk alongside you anymore."

Agreed patted Warwick's fluffy head and said, "Don't put too much pressure on yourself. I know where your problem lies. You've been unconsciously suppressing something that's most crucial to you, and that's called 'divinity'."

"Divinity?" Warwick repeated, puzzled.

Agreed nodded and explained, "Do you know the most fundamental difference between a demigod and a god? A demigod is just a shell with a divine body but no divine power, while a god is an incomplete god who has divine power but no divine status. To awaken divine power and develop a divine status based on it, one must have the most important and fundamental 'divinity' as the foundation of everything."

"For a normal, lower-level being to attain divinity, as far as I know, there is only one way: by following the path of faith in the gods established by Odin. This path requires one to enlighten their soul, embark on the path to godhood, and rely on the power of faith. But you are different, Warwick. You are a born god; divinity is inherent within you. However… you seem to be deliberately concealing it. What are you afraid of, my child?"

Warwick looked at his trembling hands and said, "I... I've been having a recurring nightmare lately. I've turned into a giant dire wolf, wantonly destroying everything you've built, and even fighting against you. I'm afraid I'll become your enemy. I... I don't want to become a monster that only knows how to destroy."

Agreed chuckled and opened a spatial portal, then said, "Since you're scared, then come and break through to my side. Don't worry, even if you turn into Fenrir, I can still subdue you and wake you up."

Warwick looked at Agreed and nodded solemnly, then stepped into the portal and arrived at the center of the Death Desert.

After Argreed's puppet brought Warwick to the location of his true form, it lost consciousness and collapsed to the ground like a marionette with its strings cut. At the same time, a black dragon slowly emerged from the desert. Because the appearance of that extremely dark dragon was no longer observable from an optical perspective, from Warwick's point of view, it was an absolutely beautiful white dragon, so holy and so incomparably beautiful.

Looking at Agred's body, Warwick unconsciously reached out to touch him, and Agred did not refuse, allowing Warwick to admire his newborn flesh.

Warwick exclaimed with admiration, "Your body is becoming more and more perfect, as beautiful as the stars."

Agreed chuckled and said, "Your body won't be much worse than mine in the future. Alright, let's stop flattering each other. You should activate your divinity here. Since I have some free time, let's solve this problem now."

Warwick nodded obediently, then sat cross-legged on the ground and fell into a meditative state. At this moment, he completely emptied his mind, and a pure killing and savage emotion appeared on his body. Warwick's eyes gradually turned blood red, and then his body began to swell. A giant wolf, hundreds of meters long and even larger than Agreed was now, appeared in the Death Desert. The giant wolf had obviously fallen into a berserk state where it could not distinguish friend from foe. After discovering Agreed's presence, the giant wolf pounced on him immediately.

Seeing this, Agred also stepped forward, straightened up, and slapped Warwick's wolf head aside with his dragon claws. Then, Agred used his powerful and sweeping dragon fighting techniques to suppress Warwick. Warwick, transformed into a giant wolf, instinctively activated the divine power within him, and Agred's attacks instantly became like mud buoys sinking into the sea, unable to harm him in the slightest. At the same time, Warwick's strength increased uncontrollably with the growth of his rage, and then he opened his mouth and bit Agred's neck.
