The gargoyle entangled most of the void beasts, but a few still slipped through its defense line and forced Lilith and her group to the edge of the hill behind the mill.
"They are too fast..." Ian's face was pale, and the wound on his arm was so deep that the bone was visible. Not only him, but everyone now had scars of varying sizes.

Lilith could no longer care about the danger in front of her. She bent down to avoid the monster that was flying towards her. The fire blade slid down and went through the monster's chest and abdomen. The splashing blood dripped on her head. She clearly heard the hissing sound coming from her ears, but Lilith did not stop. She almost crawled towards Jaina using her hands and feet.
She leaped up suddenly, turned over and rode on the monster, inserted the sword horizontally into its neck, then gripped the hilt and twisted it hard!
"Squeak!" The monster felt so much pain that its mouthparts that were biting Jaina's shoulders and neck finally loosened. It swung its head and hind legs wildly, trying to throw the person off, but Lilith refused to let go. She tightened her legs and clamped them tightly on the monster's slippery body, even though its blood soaked into her clothes and made her legs burn, she refused to let go.
With a "crack", Lilith's cold steel finally broke the monster's neck, and its huge body collapsed. But Lilith still didn't dare to relax. She chanted while enduring the severe pain all over her body, and wrapped the monster's body with thorns again. Countless caltrops stretched out from the bushes, pierced the monster's body, and tied it to the ground completely.

In the shadow of the bushes, a monster crouched very low and moved silently towards the dazed Lilith. Finally, when it was only a few meters away from her, it suddenly jumped off the ground and pounced towards her!

“Lilith!!” Catherine’s eyes widened as she looked at her usually clever and alert companion who was now standing there like a log, exposing her vulnerable back to the Void Beast that leaped into the air. For the first time, she felt fear towards these monsters and reached out her hand regardless.
The wind elements gathered together with a roar, and everyone present felt as if the air around them had been sucked into a vacuum at a certain moment. The Void Beast that had leaped into the air suddenly froze, as if someone had forcibly pressed the pause button. It dug twice in vain, and saw the human under it looking up at it.
