THE THING COMPETITION - CLOSED!

In 1982, John Carpenter adapted for film the 1938 novella "Who Goes There?"
by John W. Campbell, Jr.
This film was called "The Thing".

It's release coincided with E.T.'s, which gave a rather more optimistic view
of what an alien would do if it encountered the human race.

The Thing is now regarded as a classic of the horror-paranoia genre,
and now in 2011 we have a re-creation of what happened before the 1982 film.

Anyone who has not seen the John Carpenter version. . .
. . . should do so now.

To get your name (and a friend's) on the door for a special preview screening
held at Mitcham Cinemas on Monday night September 26th,
you'll need to answer a simple question:

If you aren't allowed to answer "The Thing",
what would be your favourite horror film, and WHY.

Entries open now and close on Wednesday September21st.
At our discretion, the top ten answers get two names on the door for The Thing.

The BEST answer will get FOUR names on the door.
